Sarah Winkler is a British-born, US-based painter and collage artist. Winkler studied Art and Earth Science at William Paterson University and combines both subjects in her landscape and environmental based artwork.
Winkler exhibits in the nationally in galleries and Art Fairs. Her work was recently showcased at the LA Art Fair and Art Aspen in 2018 coinciding with a major solo show "Luminous Mountainous" in Denver at K Contemporary. Her commissioned artworks are featured in many prominent private and corporate collections including Hilton, West Palm Beach,FL, The Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas,NV. The Viceroy at Snowmass, Aspen. The Ritz Carlton Denver, CO. Chevron, San Ramon, CA. Intercontinental Saint Paul, MN. San Francisco General Hospital, CA and Montage, Empire Pass, Deer Valley Resorts in Park City, UT.
Her first environmental show was in 2014 at Thoreau Center for Sustainability in San Francisco where Winkler created in relief paintings the cycle of a diminishing coral reef habitat. She is currently working towards her second environmental exhibition of work “Smoke Signals” scheduled for April 2020 at K Contemporary gallery in Denver. The exhibit coincides with the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day.
Her works have appeared in publications such as Scientific American, Dwell, Alpine Modern, Mountain Living, CREATE!, The Jealous Curator and New American Paintings.
She works full time as an artist in a custom built studio at a 9k peak in the Colorado Rocky Mountains near Denver. Her work is currently represented by K Contemporary in Denver, CO and Gallery MAR in Park City, UT.
